If any runeword ruined D2, it would have to be Insight. If anything, the game needs 3 more Grief-tier weapons (not to get rid of the 1 we have). Even with an item that powerful in the game, melee builds are still underpowered and underplayed relative to casters. You can't really say that Grief ruined the game. How does Blizzard expect to make a game work if players can just skip over any part of the game whenever they want? Typically in gaming, the ability to go wherever you want on the map is called hacking. It is literally the opposite of gameplay. Seriously, you just hold down 1 button and skip over the entire game. Teleport is just a stupidly broken spell to begin with. The problem with Enigma isn't Enigma: it's teleport. We're better off with it than without it. Without Enigma, it would be like 85% sorcs. Enigma addressed what would have been a huge power imbalance in favor of sorceress.
